• The balance of the trip is paid before the boat leaves the dock.
• If you drop a rod over board, you are responsible to replace it at its full value before you leave. Most of our inshore rod and reel combos are $350. Offshore $600-$1200.
• The Big Game crew works very hard to make sure our customers have an enjoyable experience and catch lots of fish! The mate gets paid in tips only. 20% - 25% is standard aboard all charter boats.
• Departure time is agreed upon before the trip. If the boat leaves late because of captain, mate and boat are not ready, the return time will be adjusted from the new departure time. Please be on time! We often have 2 trips per day with very little turn around time in between trips. If the charter customer arrives late, this will shorten your fishing time.
• No illegal drugs are allowed! This will result in immediate termination of the trip with no refund!
• If foul weather forces the trip to be canceled (Captains decision to be made the day before the trip) deposit will be applied to another day. If another day can't be scheduled this season, the deposit will be applied to next season. If foul weather develops during a trip, the trip will be downgraded from Offshore to an Inshore day, or full day to a half day with costs adjusted. The Captain will make all weather related decisions. Your safety and comfort are our concerns. Our reputation depends on it.
• Overnight Canyon Policy If foul weather forces one of the days to be canceled on an overnight trip, but the other day is fishable, we will fish on the best weather day out of the two. We will apply your deposit to either a Day Canyon trip or, 12 hour offshore trip with costs adjusted. Your deposit will be applied to another date only if both days of your Canyon Overnight are canceled due to foul weather. • Deposits Are NON-Refundable. If the trip is cancelled for any reason, the deposit will be applied to your next trip or open boat spot. If the deposit is not used in that calendar year, it will be carried over to the next year. If the charter group needs to cancel, or reschedule the date, a Minimum of 30 days advanced notice is required to cancel a sport fishing charter. Any customer that fails to notify Big Game Sportfishing of a cancellation and does not show up on the day of the trip, (No Call, No Show); the customer's credit card will be charged the full remaining balance of the charter they booked, plus tip.
• Alcoholic Beverages: Beer Only. No glass bottles, no hard liquor. If a party member becomes intoxicated, as determined by the Captain, the boat will return to the dock immediately without any refund.
• Food: Each person will provide his or her own food and beverage. We suggest that you bring prepared food. Have your sandwiches made before leaving the dock.
• No firearms of any kind on board.
• All fishing is subject to Rhode Island and Federal regulations. All fish caught by the customers, belong to the customers. Because of the federal permits required to harvest Giant Bluefin Tuna, any Bluefin Tuna 73 inches or above belongs to the boat and will be sold. Customers will receive 1/3 of the sale of the fish.
